Wordsmith Wardrobe
Where stories meet style.
Wordsmith Wardrobe was born out of a lifelong love of books, ideas, and the quiet joy of reading.
After decades spent writing code as a computer programmer, I realized that my truest passion wasn’t just in building programs — it was in the stories, words, and worlds that have shaped my life since childhood.
Like so many readers, my love for words started early — in the colorful pages of comic books stacked on my bedroom floor. That spark eventually led me to a job at Barnes & Noble, where I spent my days surrounded by stories, and later to a career at Pearson, one of the world’s largest publishing companies. Even while immersed in technology, I never stopped being a reader first.
Wordsmith Wardrobe is my way of combining both worlds — the creativity of storytelling and the precision of design — to celebrate reading in all its forms. Every shirt is made for people who believe that books matter: the readers, writers, librarians, teachers, and free thinkers who keep ideas alive.
Our designs explore the culture of words — from the joy of reading and writing, to the importance of libraries, to the ongoing conversations around censorship and free expression. Each piece is meant to start a conversation, spark a smile, or simply remind you that stories connect us all.
Whether you’re spending a Sunday lost in a good novel, shelving books at your local library, or defending the right to read freely, Wordsmith Wardrobe is here to help you wear your love for words — literally.
Because stories aren’t just meant to be read.
They’re meant to be shared.
